13 July 2010 - Statement of Purpose

The title of this blog comes from the poet, Percy Bysshe Shelley,

"The man of virtuous soul commands not, nor obeys.
Power, like a desolating pestilence,
Pollutes whate'er it touches; and obedience,
Bane of all genius, virtue, freedom, truth
Makes slaves of men, and of the human frame
A mechanized automaton."

My efforts herein will attempt to reflect this sense of the majesty of liberty while slashing authoritarian thinking with relentless passion tempered only by reason.
